The Shagal is an independent dark-fantasy journal created by Marc “Radimere” Faulk.

Set within the world of Tales of Maezhiir, this site is home to original fiction, artwork, worldbuilding, and the occasional discovery pulled from the archives of a much larger world.

Some stories follow The Shagal himself as he journeys across the Known Realms in search of lost artifacts and forgotten truths. Others explore the people, places, creatures, and mysteries that inhabit Maezhiir.

The artwork on this site begins with my own sketches and creative direction, then evolves through a blend of traditional techniques and AI-assisted tools. Every story, illustration, and final creative decision is my own.
